Non-Usage Fee
I value the privacy of my clients, and very few times have I been asked not to post my images on social media (facebook, twitter, instagram etc). In order to accommodate my clients and my business I have a non-usage fee.
In light of the inability to leverage my photographs as part of my portfolio, website, or/and social media, I charge and additional fee for non-usage. this fee is intended to off-set loss of potential marketing opportunities.
Newborns
I'm always asked when is the best time to have baby portraits taken. Well the answer of course is, "it depends". It depends on your child as all children are different.
For newborn photography, I highly recommend the first few days after birth if possible. Generally, within the first 2 week, you have a much better chance of your new baby remaining calm throughout the process.
It's also important to be fast no matter what day you take them. The longer the session goes on, the more likely they'll get irritated and start crying. And once that happens, there done, and you're unlikely to get any non-crying shots after that.
Maternity
It is generally recommended to plan your maternity photography session in the late second or early third trimester. You want to be clearly showing but still feel comfortable enough to enjoy the process.
Earlier than that and the belly may not be prominent enough, later than that and you may feel uncomfortable. But every woman and every pregnancy is different, so listening to your body is always a good idea.
Minor Model Release
This form, in addition to being detailed and formal, is designed for a parent or guardian to give permission on behalf of a child or teenager.
In most states, persons under the age of 18 are minors, who do not have legal capacity to sign contracts in their own name.
This form gives me permission to edit the images and use them as per my contract on my business website, business social media & marketing material. If you want to keep your images private, We can edit the form and you would pay a NON-USAGE FEE. (Please read non-usage fee)
